Christine Melody – Singer-Songwriter | Storyteller | Soul Explorer
Born and raised on the south side of Chicago, Christine Melody has always found solace in music. A singer-songwriter with a heart full of stories, she weaves raw emotions into melodies that linger long after the last note fades. Her official debut came in 2016 at the legendary Fitzgerald’s Nightclub in Berwyn, IL, where she took the stage for their renowned American Music Festival. From that moment on, Christine became a familiar presence in the Chicago music scene, Gracing venues such as Uncommon Ground, Gallery Cabaret, the Elbo Room and Greenmill. Her journey even led her to perform live in the Allstate Skyline Studios on WGN Radio in April 2019, sharing her music with an even wider audience,
"As her music continued to grow, so did her journey. Christine found herself branching beyond Chicago, sharing her songs with new audiences across state lines. She took the stage at the historic Buskirk-Chumley Theater in Bloomington, Indiana, and later, she poured her heart into a performance at The James Theater in Iowa City, Iowa. With the world renowned Black Opry Revue and with each new place, each new crowd, she felt the magic of music connecting her to people miles away from home—proving that stories, when sung from the heart, know no boundaries."
In October 2019, Christine independently released her debut EP, Monologue of a Dead Girl’s Broken Heart. Inspired by the Netflix series You, the record reflected on love’s intoxicating highs and devastating lows. “I just related to these fictional characters with real-life problems,” she shared. “I think that’s why people love the show—you see a bit of yourself in those moments of heartbreak, obsession, and longing. Love can make you blind to the warning signs… but who doesn’t love a little drama in love, right?”
Two years later, in November 2021, Christine returned with her second EP, If The Moment Ever Comes Again. Written in the stillness of the pandemic, the project became a deeply personal reflection on love—its fleeting nature, the ache of loss, and the quiet hope of rekindling something once thought gone. “Like many people, I had too much time to think,” she explained. “This album is about love—wanting it, losing it, and wondering if it might find its way back to you again someday.”
Christine’s journey as a songwriter has only continued to evolve. In 2023, she released the single "Honest", a deeply vulnerable track that will appear on her upcoming self-released album, City Girl Country Heart. Then, in 2024, she embraced the holiday spirit with "I Wish You a Happy Holiday", her first-ever Christmas song.
Christine’s artistry is as boundless as her spirit. Refusing to be confined by genre, she embraces folk, pop, country, and anything else that speaks to her soul. “I don’t want to be labeled as just one thing,” she says. “Music is magic, and you can’t contain magic.”
With each song, Christine Melody invites listeners into her world—a place where emotions run deep, stories unfold in whispers and crescendos, and music becomes the bridge between heartache and healing.
